Story behind the song
I recently saw the 2021 West Side Story. It is different from the 1961 classic but definitely worth seeing. Tony takes Maria uptown on the IRT BroadwaySeventh Avenue local to 191st street to visit the Cloisters in my old Inwood neighborhood. They sing One Hand One Heart. I liked what they did. I assigned some of my favorite instruments: Flute, bass clarinet, cello and added the oboe for an extra voice. (1Hand4)
