Story behind the song
I grew up trying to be very good person, I thought that I had to make everyone else happy in order for myself to be happy. But in reality it is impossible to make everyone happy. I didn't really realize this until I met my fiance, Max, who taught me to just focus on my own happiness rather than everyone else, and those people will just have to except who I am and what I believe in.
Lyrics
There once was a girl who was very naive She was gullible and easily deceived Her father and her mother And her three older brothers Each told her something different to believe She wondered alone, lost and confused Her mind growing numb and harder to amuse She called out for help And found her own self Still wondering lost, not knowing what to do And she wants the whole world to know That she's not that girl anymore She met a young man who opened her eyes He told her the truth and it made her wise He told her instead To use her own head And her confusion was gone to her surprise And she wants the whole world to know That she's not that girl anymore
