Story behind the song
Had the music and a first verse for a while in a demo, and needed to change some words and come up with an overall approach to the lyrics. Even tried to have someone write the lyrics with me, but ultimately I didn't use any of his lines and finished it on my own. I'm still playing all the instruments and I lil the way the drums came out , I used my 1970 ludwig kit , four guitars , four amps, and a bass guitar. This song really was a reaction to aspects of life when you are scrambling to get the job and become established. The first verse is about things not going well and troubles piling up. Second verse is about working your tail off without recognition, and the third is about the greed in government and how the American dream is being destroyed.Trying not to let things bother you so you can move on.
