Story behind the song
"Those who do not learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them" .....somebody smarter than me Big THANKS to Al Massey, the newest Pinecat, for his "tellin' it like it is" sax solo. You channeled the soul of this one Al !
Lyrics
I've seen the sunshine, i've smelled the rain I've heard the laughter, i've felt the pain I was a young man, but pages turn My life's a lesson, for me to learn Time after time, Oh i must be blind To see the light, and get it right, To see the light...

Ahhhh Pine... So good to hear you again w some new material. What a pleasant surprise to hear you rockin' the winter blues away. Heluva sax solo too, Al. Full-tilt boogie all the way. Pine, your lyrics n vox are distinctive and on target as always. Real nice guitar work too, my friend. You still got those creative juices flowing.

Can't believe I didn't comment here on this mate, the big chords sound great with that drumbeat, and it's sung with conviction, makes you want to stomp your feet and pump your fist, that's rock'n roll, and that cat Al did a bang up job for ya too, nice one

O.k. I drug myself over to Soundclick to finally have a listen. As I figured, you really took it to the other side of the tracks on this new one. Bill Monroe would be rollin' over in his grave over such a raucous eruption of emotion. Gotta be honest, it's not in my genre. But look what you did. You raised the eyebrows of 13 Pinecat fans so far, which have obviously been waiting patiently for your batteries to recharge. Don't stop now. The pump has been primed, and should flow freely now for quite some time! -Kevin

Great rocker from you, Charlie! Great guitar work, rocking vocals and super sax from Al. It may be you just having fun, but you are doing a great job. I also like the lyrics a lot. They say everything that needs to be said. I don't see you in a "writer's block" situation. You are creating great music - like always!

A great rocking song with a really nice feel. Al's sax suddenly pops in to take it off into another direction but fitting in perfectly. Love the grainy vocals that really give it an edge. Super stuff!

Hi Charlie!! I noticed on Al´s page that you both made a collab.... how good is this? :D Great chops here my friend, hot garage rock for sure, full power forward!! Al´s Sax rounded once more the rendition to a full-range arrangement, I am sure you both had much fun working for this tune!!! Well done Gents, a special tune made by great musicians! :D

Well this was a nice surprise to hear this sunny Friday afternoon! This rocks and has some great harmonies as well as lyrics. Kinda reminds me of Neil Young in his angst then Al comes in and smokes it, wow, very different for you but I like it. Nice work by both of you!
