My mother was dying and my father asked the local priest to come in and pray for her and give last rites. The priest did so and on his way out the door asked what church my parents attended. My father told the priest that they did not have a church or attend. The priest then told my father that all this was a waste of time, that his wife was going to hell and that he would too if he did not attend church. So much for comforting the sick and dying.
