acoustic/electric/blues/jazzy/words & music from hiter-&-yon...
i have been playing guitar since i could pick one up...been in bands from south florida to north carolina and DC and even more places hither and yon, then i decided to do some recording of material i had written and recorded my first Cd "if the shoe fits" of course i ended up working with the same musicians i played with over the years...(go figure)... i enjoy all types of music, whatever the genre...i pay close attention to lyrics...(please if you play any of my material also click on the lyrics/story tab...it's important to me that the lyrics be read) although i tossed a few quickies out like 'i musta' been drinkin' and 'stuck in mississippi' which aren't the greatest lyrics in town check out: 'if the shoe fit's', 'carolsong', 'cassidy'... to me the music may be the soul but the lyrics are the heart...you can't have one without the other...artists should not just push buttons... if you want to be considered a musician learn how to play an instrument with soul...if you want to be considered a lyricist, write from your heart... then you can create heart and soul whenever you need to...and with that push all the buttons you want... =z=

Lyrics
the travelers song been from Maine to California from Chicago to the Keys through Seattle down to Georgia to New England and Tennessee stood along the Shenandoah walked knee high in Puget Sound fished for days in the Atlantic and Okeechobee with no one around and I can hear freedom bells ringing from one sea to shining sea i'll always praise the ones who gave life in our quest for liberty spent some time down in New Orleans and Raleigh sure was one fine place stood on the mountains out in Boulder and while in Boston watched a human race felt all our history while in D.C. watched NASCAR race in Alabam' hiked the beauty of Virginia played my guitar with Uncle Sam road with the cowboys down in Texas and in Miami watched the dolphins play there's just no better place to live life than when you live it in the USA you know I've seen a thousand places from Antietem to Wounded Knee man I sure do love this country it sure feels great to be free repeat chorus 2x...fade
