I learned to play guitar in early seventies. In 1975, at the age of 17, I started to play guitar professionally both in concert and in the studio. I was lucky enough to travel in Finland and occasionally in Sweden for 10 years having a job almost every day playing music. Travelling and playing jobs seemed very tiresome for a young player. So in 1985 I was forced to stop playing because the jobs were too hard on me, both physically and mentally. I concentrated on other things in my life instead of music and actually stopped playing for almost 20 years. Under ”pressure” from my friends I started to play music again a couple of years ago. Owing to the modern digital technology I’m able to produce all my songs at my home studio. I play or edit all the instruments used in each piece and I also record and mix all my music. When playing professionally I played many different styles. I believe that this diversity can be heard as a richness in my present work. Nearest to my heart has always been Blues, especially Freddie King. Without doubt I have been influenced by all the musicians whose playing has pleased my own musical taste. In spite of my musical influences I hope and believe, that my songs do sound like Mr. Manetti and nobody else.
