I'm a musician from Liverpool, England and have been playing guitar since I was 16, playing live since 18. I've traditionally concentrated on live work but recently started to develop an interest in computer recording. I still try to keep as much of a live feel as possible with my music, trying to record songs in such a way that the recordings and live versions sound as similar as possible.

Story behind the song
We'd been gigging one night and a particularly beautiful friend of the band turned up looking, well... pert. She asked me to write a song about her and as I already had a chord progression in mind, the word 'pert' stuck. Luckily Vicky was able to throw some (unrelated) lyrics over the song I wrote. This was the second version - the first didn't have my 'Sisters of Mercy' influenced 2nd vocal track.
