Since the age of 7, Monique "SongByrd" Harris, a Michigan native, has been determined to showcase her writing and powerhouse vocal ability. It was at that age that the adorable little songstress begged her reluctant mother to let her sing at her mom's wedding. Eventually she convinced her aunt, the wedding coordinator at the time and who was herself a bit curious of what her niece could do....and the rest was history! SongByrd blew away the two sisters as well as the entire room of guests, and she has been singing and performing ever since - including a win in a citywide Star Search competition when she was only 12 years old and also recently won the M.H.A Awards (Michiana's Hottest Artist) .
