Reflections
Sitting and contemplating,
about the up and coming election;
I try to remember those people,
but I don’t have any recollection.
I sway my deep thoughts,
to my last uniform inspection;
as I am with deep pride,
in giving of my protection.
Losing my direct sensibility,
I lose my total projection.
So I try to compensate,
to make a final correction.
I can’t seem to do it,
so I receive an injection.
I just really hope,
I don’t gain an infection.
Through this tough time,
my thoughts take collection;
sorting and analyzing,
pressing for a defection.
The never-ending calming,
and deep affection;
escapes the barriers,
of detrimental rejection.
I’ll just do my best,
and do it with perfection;
as I pray to the Lord above
for the final resurrection.
