Story behind the song
Racism has been around since the dawn of the races, and it shows no signs of dying out. It's killing us all.
Lyrics
COLOR OF MAN Hey, Mr. Crayola®, I’ve got another color for your box! This one’s brand new - it’s a unique hue, It’s the only color that talks! It’s the color of man. It’s the color of man. I’m the color, he’s the color, They’re the color, she’s the color, We’re all the color of man. We’re all the color of man. This is the story of a color called Man, Running through this world just as fast as he can, Trying to blend in ever since his race began. He’s the color called man. He’s the color called man. I’m the color, he’s the color, They’re the color, she’s the color, We’re all the color of man. We’re all the color of man. Don’t ask me if he’s black, white, yellow, or red, Somewhere in this world there’s a price on his head, Somewhere someone thinks he’d be better off dead, Because he’s the color of man. He’s the color of man. I’m the color, he’s the color, They’re the color, she’s the color, We’re all the color of man. We’re all the color of man. I’m the color, he’s the color, They’re the color, she’s the color, We’re all the color of man. We’re all the color of man. Copyright © 2002 Lex Zaleta
