Story behind the song
I was walking in a big empty mall in Prim valley ( mojave desert )( 40 mins from Las Vegas) I think on a Sunday morning , Inside this big empty shopping mall and it struck me as incredibly lonley even though all the stores were open , not one customer was to be found. I thought what a waste of resources. How do homeless people feel when they are sitting outside such opulance ? unable to participate ?
Lyrics
IF Only It Would Rain Walking through an empty shopping mall somewhere outside of Las Vegas Listen to our footsteps echo through the halls no one can catch us All the stores are closed there's not a soul around If Only would rain I might stay here forever wash away the stain If only it would rain I might stay here forever and Never ask for anything. Broken glass on the side of the road Don't pay me no mind There's trash in this parking lot But I've got everything in Line Today is going to be the best day we ever had If Only would rain I might stay here forever wash away the stain If only it would rain I might stay here forever and Never ask for anything.
